Where do I begin?
They told me I need to start a blog, at which point my mind went into overdrive questioning, ‘ what the heck do I talk about?’ And, ‘what could I possibly say which others would want to hear?’
I guess everyone has a story and a journey. Mine began January 2021, at least this new chapter in my life did, completely unexpectedly. The instigators of this new chapter were my two gorgeous black and white Collie X labradors, called Pica & Bronnie. Even more unexpectedly was that this new chapter had begun years before that, only I wasn’t in on their secret!!
Quite often you have an idea when someone is pulling your strings, but your strings pulled by 2 dogs?! now that’s a whole other story – and maybe, just maybe, this is what I need to tell you about first, that is if you have stuck around long enough to read this far.
By the way, let me give you the heads up, I’m a lady born in Wales, UK I’m often sarcastic, in a nice way of course, but I’m hoping you will get my British sense of humour as time goes on.
I once read that you must focus on the journey and not on the destination, its the journey itself that can be the most beautiful and rewarding. Thankfully My journey was indeed incredibly beautiful, but also scary, anxiety provoking, one that made me incredibly vulnerable and one as far away from my previous training as a classically trained ballet and contemporary dancer, aerobic & step-aerobic instructor as can be! I ask myself, ‘how have I got from this one extreme to another?’
Its a journey, a process that I’ve not pondered over too much. I’ve accepted it as something meant to be, I’m meant to be where I am now, I’m meant to be doing this joyous & exciting work ( although its not work at all). What I see and feel is its beauty, a beauty and wonder stemming from the animals, their wisdom, their joy, their unconditional love. Don’t get me wrong, there is incredible beauty in dancing, unrivalled beauty, its just that Animal communication is a wonder On a whole new & different level.
This is probably a great place for me to take a breath and continue soon……
And if I were still in my dancers world, we would say ‘…and one.’
